Step 1: Washing:

Before using the precision pour, soak it in warm soapy water for about 5 minutes. Do not put it in the dishwasher or use water that is too hot to touch. After washing rinse thoroughly with cold water.

Step 2 Inserting

If the pouring water is dry soak it with cold water before inserting. When inserting the cup into the bottle gently twist and push until it fits snugly. Usually there are only three cork rings in the bottle. Some bottles (1.75 litre Absolute Vodka etc.) require four rings to be inserted to prevent leakage. If the bottle is too large to fit into the pouring water, make an adapter from the bottle cap. Do not force the bottle into the water as it may crack or break.

Step 3 Clearing

Hold your fingers over the neck of the bottle and quickly turn the bottle upside down to ensure the water is poured out. It will be emptied before each use and after each wash. If the water is not primed it may not be able to measure accurately.

Draining Step 4

When pouring water gently rotate the bottle at a 45-60 degree angle (about 2 hours). The precision pour design can be poured quickly but like any liquid pour the bottle will never be agitated to the pouring position.
