For the static strap function, HAKKO498 Wrist Strap Tester can quickly and easily check the following:

1. Test static strap and ground wire connection.
2. Test the impedance between skin and Static strap.
3. Test the connection during anti-static access panels, cushion for connecting ground.

Indication: LOW (Red light) R Less than 800KΩ , without sound
Indication: GOOD (Green light) R between 800KΩ to 9MΩ , with sound
Indication: HIGH (Red light) R greater than 9MΩ, without sound

Method of operation:

(The cordless wrist strap to be clamped to the top of the screw), press the test instrument
with the wrist strap on the middle of the test plate, if the grounding system is normal, green light turns on indicating "GOOD",
if the Both sides of the "HIGH" light or "LOW" lights up, this indicates that the wrist strap can not be used normally.
