Product details

This item is a pair of Passive HDCVI Transceivers used for CCTV installations.

They allow high-definition analog video signals to be transmitted over twisted-pair cabling (like Cat5e/Cat6) instead of traditional coaxial cable.

Compatible with AHD, HDCVI, and HDTVI high-definition analog signals.

These passive devices require no external power supply.

Designed to reduce interference and improve picture quality over long distances.

The image displays a pair of passive HD video baluns (transceivers). These devices are used in CCTV security systems to transmit high-definition video signals over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cables like Cat5/5e/6, replacing more expensive coaxial cables.

Specifications

Key Features

Compatibility: They are compatible with various HD analog signals, including HD-TVI, HD-CVI, AHD, and traditional analog (CVBS) signals.
Signal Support: They support multiple resolutions, such as 720P, 1080P, and often up to 4K (8MP), depending on the specific model.
Passive Operation: They do not require an external power supply.
Transmission Distance: They enable long-distance transmission, often up to 300m for CVI/AHD signals and 200m for TVI signals over a single cable.
Interference Rejection: They offer super interference rejection and have built-in filter circuits to eliminate interference and common-mode noise.
Protection: They often include built-in surge and transient protection, sometimes referred to as lightning protection.
Connectors: They feature a male BNC connector on one end for connecting to the camera/DVR and a terminal block or similar connection for the UTP cable on the other end.
Cost-Effective: Using these baluns with twisted pair cabling can significantly reduce overall installation costs compared to traditional coaxial cable setups.
