Installation steps:
1. Turn off the computer and disconnect the power cord.
2. Open the computer case and find the SATA 7PIN slot and SATA15PIN power cable that can be used.
3. Gently insert the adapter card into the SAS hard drive and make sure it is firmly fixed in the hard drive position of the chassis.
4. Insert the SATA cable and the SATA hard drive power cable into the adapter card, and insert the other end of the SATA data cable into the motherboard SATA port.
5. Re-close the computer case and reconnect the 220V power cord.
6. Start the computer and check whether the newly added SATA device is successfully recognized in the operating system.
Notes:
1: In some cases, it may be necessary to update the motherboard driver or BI0S to properly recognize the newly added hardware device.
2: SAS hard disk sectors are: 512/520/528, only 512 sectors are supported, 520/528 sectors cannot be used
3: SAS hard disks are used on servers, and many security protection detection and encryption mechanisms are added. Boot recognition will be 10-20S slower than ordinary SATA, which is a normal phenomenon. Those who mind should be careful when purchasing.
