Product details
Artist blending pens are essential tools for artists working with dry media like colored pencils, pastels, and charcoal. They are designed to soften edges, blend colors seamlessly, and create smooth transitions.
Here's a detailed look at their usages:
* Blending: The primary use is to blend colors together, creating a smooth gradient or a seamless transition between hues.
* Softening Edges: They can soften harsh lines and edges, giving a more natural look to drawings.
* Creating Highlights: By lifting color with a blending pen, artists can create highlights and add dimension.
* Burnishing: Applying firm pressure with a blending pen can compress the pigment into the paper, creating a polished, blended finish.
* Layering: Blending pens help layer colors, allowing artists to build up depth and achieve complex color combinations.
These pens are typically made with a colorless, waxy or oil-based core. They are non-toxic and easy to use.
