It is an exceptionally good chemical compatibility and excellent resistance to micro-organisms, designed primarily to filter and remove dirt, debris, and even microscopic particles from carbon dominated water. A micron is one-millionth of a meter or one twenty-five thousandth of an inch. This filter cartridge is a 0.5-micron filter, thus removes particles as small as 0.5 microns.
