This is a high quality meter & valve security seal. It is made from a strong, non-sticky metal, strong ABS plastic. Meter seals are a tamper-evident security seals, providing a visual indicator to determine equipment tampering. They are commonly applied to electric and water meters, gas meters, drums, valves, etc. Meter seals are primarily designed to prevent unauthorized access to meters. Meter seals cannot be opened without being damaged, thus it is understood whether they have been tampered with by unauthorized persons. To add an extra layer of security, unique serial numbers are written on the meter seals using a variety of marking methods.
