This elegant floor-length garment is a Boubou (or Bubu) gown, a popular style in West African fashion, particularly in Nigeria.

Layered Construction: The dress consists of a black, form-fitting inner midi dress overlaid with a voluminous, sheer outer cape or "smart boubou" silhouette.
Flowing Sleeves: The outer layer features wide, dramatic sleeves that create a continuous, wing-like effect when the arms are extended.
Neckline: A simple, modest round neckline that maintains the garment's refined and "regal" aesthetic.
Peacock Embroidery: The focal point is a large, intricate peacock motif embellished on the front of the inner dress. This embroidery features vibrant gold, green, and red tones, symbolizing luxury and artistry.
Sheer Embellishment: The outer mesh layer is also detailed with delicate embroidery and floral or bird-themed patterns along the lower half, creating a sense of "floral artistry" and movement.
