I've tested it but not used it. I bought one abroad for my nephew & his wife and it was good. There can be a burning rubber smell on the higher settings but you rarely if at all should need it. My nephew's one stopped when it overheated but ok again soon after. For my purposes, it's very useful so I can't complain too much. If you need to do heavy duty blending - both in terms of tough blending and/ or a lot, it's great because the jar isn't so heavy on the arm.
