The problem with water leaks wasn't actually a problem as many of us the reviewers were complaining. The kettle is designed in a way that the amount of water you'll put shouldn't fill it up, if not it will leak to indicate a sign you've fill beyond the limit. So, when filling it, pay attention to a metal slit gauge just immediately from the top, in the inside kettle, that is exactly where you should stop.
