The product blends alright, but it isn't exactly a yam pounder. The yam has to be small for it to blend. Secondly, it doesn't come together like pounded yam, it only breaks it down. I have to return it into a mortar to pound smoothly. In addition, it just stops working when the content thickens up and the engine gets hot. I'd recommend going for a stronger product if you want good quality pounded yam. That notwithstanding, it is a good and sharp processor.
