Good Mouse, But I Had Some Concerns
This is the first time I've spent around ₦9,000 on a mouse, and compared with the ₦1,500–₦5,000 mice I've used before, this one feels significantly more premium. I really like the RGB lighting, adjustable DPI, and the extra side buttons. I mainly bought it for gaming, but the extra buttons are also useful for editing and general PC use. The adjustable DPI is especially nice. The mouse has four DPI stages, and being able to change sensitivity easily is something my previous mice didn't have. The extra buttons are also a great addition and have genuinely improved my gaming experience. However, there are two things that make me unsure about exactly what I received. First, the box identifies the mouse as a Logitech G102 LIGHTSYNC, while the label underneath the mouse says Logitech G102 Prodigy. I'm not sure whether this is normal for this particular model/packaging or whether there is some other explanation, but having two different names on the same product is confusing. Second, I couldn't get the mouse to work with Logitech G HUB. I use computers every day as a Computer Science student, so I was surprised that the official Logitech software didn't recognize it. I can't say for certain whether this is an issue with the mouse, the software, or something on my end, but it does raise some concerns. Aside from those issues, the actual mouse has been very good so far. It feels considerably better than the cheaper mice I've previously used, the buttons are useful, the DPI adjustment is convenient, and the RGB looks great. Overall, I'd recommend it if you're working with a tight budget and want a noticeable upgrade from very cheap mice. However, if you have a larger budget (around ₦30,000–₦50,000), I'd personally recommend spending more on a newer Logitech model from an authorized/official vendor for greater peace of mind. Good mouse for the budget, but the unclear model identity and lack of G HUB recognition are things I'd want a buyer to be aware of.
