It comes fully charged and it lasts long when fully charged. The day I bought it, it lasted from around 9pm to 5am; it lasts long. The remote helps in controlling the fan so you don't need to stand up from your position or comfort zone. It has a light attached to it to use in the dark and a charging port for your phone. You can also use a solar panel to charge it if wanted. The only thing I didn't get when buying it was that it wouldn't come with a solar panel but a solar port. But all the same I LOVE this fan. It's perfect and excellent, I so love it.
