It needs to be charged at least once a day. You need a usb charging point close to the bottle else you will need to manually uninstall the charger from the bottle when charging. It can be used while charging. If the flow is pulsating, make sure the hose is straight and not bent. It is not fast nor slow. A mug can be filled 7- 10 secs. The flow stops instantly when you press the button. It is a simple neat device except for this weak charging port. I hope i dont have to buy another because i dont know if this is eligible for return.
