Works as a typical condenser microphone, picks up any little sound, it's best to turn down your volume, so it only picks up your voice and you're good to go, if you're connecting to a sound card then put the volume at 20-30 percent, and just like magic all background noises disappear, static noises gone as well. Good product overall.
