Durability, repairs of mini sewing machine

Let the parts, more especially the engine be strong enough to withstand electric power; otherwise, it should remain manual alone because it doesn't last if electricity is used. Mine has spoilt because of electricity and I'm regretting because I can't make use of it. I don't know if it can be repaired. Thanks
