PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS KETTLE I’m sharing this because I genuinely don’t want anyone else to experience what happened to me. The inside of this kettle started melting/decomposing when heated directly on fire and the melted material got into the water. I only noticed because I was about to use it ???? What scared me even more was that when I used my bare hands to take the kettle off the fire, the melted material hurt/burned my hand. Please be careful with products like this. Do not use this kettle until the material and heat-safety claims have been properly verified. Consuming water contaminated with melted plastic or rubber can pose health risks, so I’m not taking any chances. Jumia, please investigate this product and consider removing it from sale if it does not meet proper safety standards. People should not have to discover a potentially dangerous defect after putting a product on fire. Please share this so others can be careful. ????????
