I put boiled water into it before bed and have hot tea in the morning without any problems. It's exactly as described. 1 star removed because it came looking very stressed and dirty. But it's very good and cute, the cups are wonderful too, you can continue to heat liquids in them, on an induction or other kind of stove and lift it with no problems
