I think the charge controller should be redesign to in such a manner that one might be able to choose either 12V or 24V battery even when a 24V Solar panel will be used for the charging.

Works fine but it's not mppt
It's a PWM controller so the MPPT labelling is misleading. Still a good bargain for the price for a PWM. Sometimes the display dims when charging with solar and the battery gets fully charged to like 14.2v. Don't know if this is a bug or a feature.
