The wood is particleboard
The space is wide enough for fir your slippers and 4 inches heals ,higher heels would have to stay up it’s a beautiful shoe rack but the edges are rough,some paint already peeled away,but it’s still beautiful,but note that it can scratch easily, the board used is low quality wood board called particleboard,it can scatter easily if anything pierce through it ,so be careful
