It's giving a false volt reading, this device almost put me in trouble. I used it as a measure to check mate for the volt input but I was wrong. It gave a higher voltage than the specified volt

Does what it is designed to do. However, if you live in an area where the voltage is low (less than the stated input) the device will not supply any output to your connected device. It doesnt amplify the voltage, it just regulates it to make sure the stated and recommended voltage is being outputted.
