It's mild... doesn't dry out the skin like other Acids which I feel is the reason why my temperamental skin hasn't flared up...I use it once or twice a week @ night and I don't miss my sunscreen daily. I only wish it was formulated without fragrance other than that there are improvements in my third week of usage. Try Not to use harsh face wash while using it.
