Poor build quality

This is one product that shocked me the first time I picked it up. It felt so light as if it was made from cheap plastic. I wonder how it will handle the high heat from the drier over time. It does its job for now but I'm skeptical of how long it will last. Ps: it comes with a 2 pin plug ???? and not the 3 pin as shown in the picture.
