It works, but it's very difficult to stop the glass fill from spreading to the areas around the crack. Also the objects viewed through the 'repaired' crack are distorted. As the wiper blades brush over the repaired crack, the area eventually becomes opaque over time. I think replacing the cracked windshield is your best bet.
