It takes a while to get used to and YOU MUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. I didn't and was initially disappointed and was gonna send it back because the motor also smelt like it was burning every time I used it. Make sure you close the lid properly as there is a pouring option that can spill stuff everywhere Don't overfill Don't blend for long. It's very sharp so you will only need a couple of bursts. Make sure you have enough liquid or you can damage the motor. It's very good for the price and is now my go to blender instead of my Nutri Ninja as it much easier to clean. Highly recommended BUT remember the above.
