THE FORMULA

• Betaine Hydrochloride: Betaine Hydrochloride is used to increase the level of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, aiding in the complete digestion of proteins and absorption of nutrients. It’s especially beneficial for those with low stomach acidity, improving overall digestive function. Our Betaine HCL is a highly bioavailable form derived from synthesized compounds.
• Purified Ox Bile Extract: Ox bile extract contains bile salts that are essential for breaking down fats and aiding in the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K). It’s particularly helpful for individuals with compromised bile production, supporting the emulsification and digestion of dietary fats. Our bile extract is purified to ensure no contaminants as well as high concentration, using a low temp dehydration process for optimal strength. The bile is derived from bovine sources, and contain 45% cholic acid, which helps to ease gallbladder and liver function.
• Bromelain: Extracted from pineapple, bromelain is celebrated for its calming properties, it aids in the digestion of proteins, making nutrients more readily available for absorption. We use Bromelain 150 GDU/g: The "GDU" stands for Gelatin Digesting Units per gram. This measure indicates the potency of bromelain (an enzyme found in pineapples) in terms of its ability to break down gelatin.
• Pancreatin 10X (Microbial Source, no Meat): Pancreatin 10X is a concentrated form of digestive enzymes that break down fats, proteins, and carbohydrates efficiently. Sourced from microbial origins, it supports those with pancreatic insufficiency by supplementing the body's natural enzyme production. · The "10x" designation indicates that the pancreatin has been concentrated to ten times its original strength, meaning it contains a higher concentration of digestive enzymes per unit of measurement compared to standard pancreatin supplements.
• Papain: Derived from papaya, papain is another enzyme that specializes in breaking down tough protein fibers, easing digestion, and reducing symptoms of indigestion such as bloating and discomfort. It’s also used for its anti-inflammatory effects. We use Papain 2,000 USP units/mg. The "USP units" refers to the United States Pharmacopeia units, a standard measurement used to quantify the activity of enzymes like papain (an enzyme extracted from papaya). The number before "USP units/mg" indicates how many units of papain activity are present per milligram. Papain is used for its ability to break down proteins, and 2,000 USP units/mg is a measure of its potency, with higher numbers indicating stronger enzyme activity.
• Pepsin: Pepsin is a vital enzyme in the stomach that initiates the digestion of proteins into peptides. It works best in acidic conditions, activated by stomach acid, highlighting the importance of a properly functioning digestive system. Our formula contains Pepsin 1:10000. This is a measure of the concentration or potency of pepsin, an enzyme that breaks down proteins in the stomach. The ratio "1:10000" means that one part of pepsin is combined with 10,000 parts of a diluent (a substance used to dilute the enzyme). This ratio is a way to standardize the strength of the pepsin preparation, with specific activity levels required to digest a certain amount of protein under defined conditions.
