This Binatone BLG-360 blender is capable of most things you would expect from a blender. It can make smoothies, grind beans, crush ice and is strong enough for most grains. 

• This blender will melt your potatoes into a puree so if you just want a paste then only blend for a short interval. 

• You should always take the power of this blender into consideration when using it. Most food items would be ground to paste form if you blend for two long. One or two short bursts of blending are enough to make your pastes (potatoes or fruit paste, as the case may be).  

• If you are blending and you notice that the blender is giving of a burning rubber smell then turn it off. You should not blend for too long at a go. Thirty seconds per blending round is enough for most of your food items. 

• In addition, always remember to place enough water in the jar when blending. And watch the measuring marks on the body of the blender. They are meant to help you gauge how much foodstuff the blender can take. Please do not overload it. 

• Finally, the jar is not meant for grinding grains or dry food. You should use the grinder for that. The grinder is strong enough to grind beans to powder. You can also use it for grinding ginger. It will turn ginger to paste and it is efficient with nuts too so you can use it to prepare for groundnut soup. 

• The blender has two speeds and a pulse feature. It is also easy to clean. It is dishwasher friendly but the blades are not removable. The jar's exterior is also easy to clean because it is smooth and would respond well to a sponge.
