The Avaya J179 IP Phone is a high-performance, business-grade VoIP desk phone designed for professional use in offices, contact centers, and remote environments. It integrates tightly with Avaya Aura, IP Office, and other unified communication platforms via SIP and H.323 protocols. The device features a 3.5-inch color display, 8 dual-LED line/feature keys, and four context-sensitive softkeys to give users flexible control over call handling. Wideband audio ensures clear voice quality, and the full-duplex speakerphone makes hands-free communication seamless. It supports up to three 24-button expansion modules, has built-in headset support (RJ9) with EHS, and can optionally work with the J100 Wireless Module for Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), it also offers dual Gigabit Ethernet ports to support a co-located PC.
