What is the difference between sweet basil and holy basil essential oil?

Sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum) smells fresh, green, and balsamic. Its uplifting scent is high in linalool and eugenol.
Holy basil (O. sanctum) has a sweet, spicy
scent with a clove-like note. It is a sacred herb, with an aroma that
can be used to purify the air and open breathing, especially during
meditation. Key constituents are eugenol and 1,8-cineole.
