ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Cetrimide        3.0% w/v  

INTRODUCTION:

MORICET® is a brand of Gluconate and Cetrimide combination.

Gluconate a biguanide which has been found to be bactericidal against broad spectrum of Gram positive and Gram-negative organisms.

Cetrimide belongs to group of Quartenary Ammonium Compounds (QACs), ionizes in solution and strongly attached to the bacterial cells; active against both Gram positive and Gram negative organisms, and also show activity against Candida albican.

ACTION AND USES:

The synergistic effect of cetrimide in Moricet makes it a powerful antibacterial, causing leakage and coagulation of intra cellular materials of micro organisms, degradation of protein and nucleic acid and eventual lysis of the micro organism cells.

MORICET® is used for wide varieties of purposes because of its effectiveness against a broad spectrum of organisms as well as its lack of toxicity and irritancy.
