The MikroTik CSS610-8G-2S+IN is arguably the best value-for-money switch in its class. It is specifically built for users who need a few 10 Gbps fibre links (like for a NAS or a main server) but don't want to pay for a massive 24-port enterprise switch.
Despite its compact size and low price, it is a fully managed Layer 2 switch. Running on SwOS, it allows you to configure VLANs to segment your network easily, apply MAC filters for security, and manage broadcast storm control—all from your web browser. Its fanless design means it operates in total silence, while its metal chassis ensures it stays cool even when the 10Gbps ports are under heavy load.
Note: This is a Smart Managed Switch (SwOS), not a router. It does not support RouterOS features like VPN or Hotspots. It is designed for high-speed port expansion and VLAN management. No built-in Wi-Fi.
