Healing Noni is a farm on the Big Island of Hawaii that has been in operation since 1998. For more than 20 years Healing Noni has introduced natural noni fruit juice directly from the farm free of proprietary processing, formulation and dilution to our customers. Our method for production is very simple:

The Flowering Fruit

The Noni Tree is a flowering fruit tree. It also produces fruit year around. We pick our fruit daily making sure to only select the fruit as it turns yellow, signaling that it is passed its flowering stage and ready to be picked. This ensures the very best yield of quality and noni fruit juice.

Each notch of the noni fruit was once a small unique white flower. We count between 70 - 100 notches on a single noni fruit. You might say the noni fruit is made of Flower Power.

 

The Fresh Noni Fruit

The Noni Fruit ripens very quickly. It has a low sugar content and begins naturally to ferment within days of having been picked. It turns white and becomes very soft. Within 2 - 4 weeks nearly the entire fruit becomes juice through this stage. A medium size noni fruit will produce a little more than 2 ounces of noni fruit juice.

 

A Day of Picking

A single area can offer 5 to 10 bags of ripe noni fruit in a single picking. We use dye free bags and buckets when picking. Noni ripens very quick. So we will bring the fruit to our facility to be immediately contained and sealed for fermentation.

 

The EcoSystem of Noni

The noni fruit tree plays a valuable roll in the ecosystem of Hawaii. Placing it roots deep into the lava rock soil of the island noni is able to contribute to the transformation of rock into soil, continually dropping its leaves which break down and becomes fertilizer and eventually soil. Honey bees and other Insects gain great value from the constant supply of pollen of Noni's every bearing flowering fruit.

Noni is the commonly used Hawaiian name for the tree Morinda citrifolia.

The noni fruit has been a healing herb of the Hawaiians and Polynesians for thousands of years, and word has been spreading more and more about its unique benefits. In laboratory research, noni has shown antioxidant, immune-stimulating, and tumor-fighting properties.

The Noni tree is an evergreen flowering fruit tree. The Noni fruit is approximately the size of a potato and has a lumpy appearance with a waxy, semi-translucent skin that ranges in color as it ripens from green, to yellow, to almost white when it is ripe and ready for juicing.

The noni fruit is special in that it begins to ferment on its own very rapidly after it is removed from the tree. Within a few days of picking, juice naturally seeps from the Noni fruit.

The Juice Process

Healing Noni’s 100% Noni Fruit Juice is produced using ancient Hawaiian methods. Our farms maintain the traditional farming practices from start to finish, passed down from our Kupuna (elders) for generations. It’s how we produce our Noni Juice with the same quality we’ve preserved for over 20 years.

After handpicking, we have a 2-4 week full-term period of fermentation before dripping and cold pressing our juice. This is suggested by the research at the University of Hawaii to be the period required for a full fermentation of the

Noni grows in tropical zones around the equator. Noni Fruit is thought to have originated in India and to have been exported as people migrated East, finding its greatest growing foundation on the Islands of the Pacific.
