How It Works:

3. Receiver: Connected to the audio system, it captures the radio signal and converts it back into an audio signal.

Types of Wireless Microphones:

• Lavalier (Lapel): A small mic clipped to clothing, connected to a bodypack transmitter. Popular in broadcasting and theater.
• Headset: Similar to lavalier but worn on the head. Used in fitness classes, stage performances.
• Instrument: Designed for wireless use with guitars or wind instruments.

Common Frequencies:

• UHF (Ultra High Frequency): Offers better range and less interference.
• VHF (Very High Frequency): Cheaper but more prone to interference.
• 2.4 GHz: Similar to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, often used for short-range applications.

Advantages:

• No cables to trip over.
• Freedom of movement for performers or speakers.
• Clean setup for stages or video shoots.

Disadvantages:

• Can suffer from signal interference.
• Requires batteries or recharging.
• More expensive than wired microphones.
