The chessboard is made of cloth so it can be cleaned easily, and it is so it easily rolls and fits in the cylinder, making it easier to carry the set round. another good thing about it is that when you unroll it, it stays flat, unlike thin cardboard or paper which would still curl up.
The chess pieces are contained in 2 separate plastic pouches which is nice, as each player can set up with their own pieces, and also keeps you from losing the pieces since the pouches can be cinched closed.
The plastic pieces are little hollow inside, so their weight is not too heavy to carry around, with storage bag. easy to carry, perfect for travelling, outdoor use.
They are great for game analysis. convenient to play in areas with limited space. such as home, picnic, outdoor sports, clubs, tournaments, whatever you like!
