In a multi-cyclone system, the process involves several stages: 

1. Initial Separation: Dust-laden air is drawn into a primary chamber where a single, larger cyclone separates the heaviest debris, which falls into the collection bin.
2. Fine Particle Filtration: The air then flows into a series of smaller, more numerous cones. Here, the air is spun at even higher speeds, generating stronger centrifugal force that effectively forces finer particles outward, away from the clean air path.
3. Collection: The separated fine dust is collected in the same dustbin or a dedicated container.
4. Final Filtration: The air from the center of the cones is then pushed through final filters, often including a washable HEPA filter, to trap any remaining microscopic particles and allergens before the air is expelled back into the room.
