This hand mixer is especially suitable for kneading dough. While large stand mixers can easily over-knead dough, electric hand mixers offer greater control and avoid this problem. Hand mixers are also more portable if you plan to use them while traveling. The spiral blade is for mixing flour, and the round blade is for mixing egg whites. Level 1 is the lowest power setting. Power levels 1-2 are suitable for mixing dry ingredients such as flour and butter. Power level 4 is suitable for mixing liquid ingredients. Power levels 5-7 are suitable for mixing batters for cakes, cookies, and other foods.
