Cisco Meraki MR56

Expand your business's wireless network connectivity with the Cisco  MR56 802.11ax 8 x 8 MU-MIMO Dual-Band Access Point. This indoor access point features a high-powered internal antenna that supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with 8 x 8 MU-MIMO, delivering up to 5.9 Gb/s of total speed over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signal frequencies for fast and reliable data connections with compatible devices. It connects to your compatible router or switch through its built-in 5G Ethernet port and operates using up to 30W of power-over-Ethernet (PoE). Alternatively, you can power the device by using a separate DC adapter to plug it into a wall outlet. With its plug-and-play design, the MR56 can be mounted onto a desktop, wall, or ceiling with the included hardware and operates without requiring additional hardware. The access automatically connects to the M cloud service to download configuration information and updates. The wireless signal is secured with WEP and enterprise class WPA, WPA2, and WPA3 encryption.

The MR56 features a high-powered internal antenna that supports 802.11ax Wi-Fi to deliver up to 1147 Mb/s speeds through the 2.4 GHz frequency signal and 4804 Mb/s over the 5 GHz signal for a combined speed of 5.9 Gb/s with compatible devices. Technologies such as beamforming and enhanced receive help to maintain reliable high-performance wireless connections.

With 8 x 8 MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies, the access point can efficiently communicate with multiple devices simultaneously.

Dedicated Third Radio

A dedicated dual-band scanning and security radio continually scans the environment for RF interference and potential wireless threats in real-time. The data is fed into the M cloud, which works to automatically tune the channel selection, transmit power, and client connection settings for optimal performance.

Enterprise-Grade Security

Advanced security options such as AES hardware-based encryption and Enterprise authentication with 802.1X and Active Directory integration provide easy-to-configure security for users. Guests can be given isolated, internet-only access.

QoS Optimization

The QoS policies can be configured based on traffic type to help ensure that critical applications work efficiently. These include options to prioritize Wireless MultiMedia (WMM) access and optimize VoIP phones for smooth operation.

Fully Automated

The MR56 automatically connects to M cloud after it is plugged in to download its configuration and join your network. It also updates its firmware automatically to ensure that you always have the latest bug fixes, security updates, and features.
