These Shiitake Mushrooms have been dried and sliced into 20 to 60 mm pieces, which absorb plenty of moisture when soaked, boiled or cooked into sauces. They possess a light-beige to dark-brown colour and have a pleasingly firm texture. Shiitake mushrooms originate from the Far East, but are now adored across the whole of Europe.

Shiitake are rich in polysaccharides like lentinans and other beta-glucans. These compounds protect against cell damage, help your immune system, and boost white blood cell production for fighting off microbes. Polysaccharides also have anti-inflammatory properties

These Shiitake Mushrooms have been dried and sliced into 20 to 60 mm pieces, they originate from China. They are a light beige to dark brown colour, with a firm texture. 

Dried and sliced Shiitake Mushrooms can be used for cooking. You can add boiling water and leave them to soak for 15-20 minutes before cooking, or you can add them straight to a dish after rinsing. They can be added to stir fry, soups and other delicious Chinese dishes such as Udon Noodles.
