Only connects to router and the control device (phone or laptop) has to use same router. Meaning, u can't view or control if you are away from the house. Otherwise, nice picture quality (day & night), turns very well when controlled, motion sensor that triggers the light on and can warn the individual or sound the alarm if programmed to do so.
