You know that feeling you have when you are all dressed up then someone nods and says something like , ” I like your style,” “I love how you have worn that Dashiki”. It usually feels really good that someone has acknowledged that you have taken time to look presentable and on point.

Having said that,  I want to quickly differentiate between being fashionable and being stylish. Being fashionable means that you are aware of what is trending, and you have own a couple of those trending items.

When the new Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 Design comes out, you make sure you have a pair or three, now that is being fashionable.

Being stylish on the other hand, is knowing how to present your clothing items in an appealing way. You may not necessarily have the latest pair of Adidas shoes, but you wear what you have exceptionally well. Now, I hope you have got the difference between being fashionable and stylish. Anyone can be fashionable, but not everyone can be stylish.

My style can be said to be urban, which is basically a mix of all the styles. I can have elements of dapper style, or casual style or punk style.

The trick is being able to moderate and know what you are doing. Fashion and style is not rocket science, for some people all it takes is wearing a good fitting blue suit and they are good to go. For others, it might not be that simple.

What I can advice is, being able to play around with fashion and style. Check out inspiration on the internet and even on the streets. Learn a thing or two about pairing clothes and before you know it, you are on your way to being the stylish man you have always wanted to be.

Another important fact is that, everyone needs confidence. You might have an amazing Agbada, or a nice Tom Ford suit, or even a simple pair of jeans , but without confidence all these would be worthless. Confidence adds a spring to your step and it makes you and those around you feel good.
